GLOCK GSSF Shooting Matches – Got GLOCK?

The GLOCK Shooting Sports Foundation (GSSF) has announced two upcoming matches.  If you have a GLOCK and want to begin competing with your handgun – this is a perfect match for you.  You can shoot from the low ready position at these matches and do not have to draw from a holster.  This is great for beginners.   Don’t know what a GSSF match is all about?  Check our previous post about the differences in competitive handgun competitions.

GSSF has two great matches coming up for you in the southeast the next two weekends!

The first match is on October 22-23, 2011 for the Bluegrass Regional Classic IX hosted by the Bluegrass Sportsmens League. You can pre-register and avoid the walk up lines by using the registration form found at www.gssfonline.com and emailing or faxing it to 770-437-4719 by Noon EDT on Wednesday, October 19th.

Can’t make it to that match?  

On October 29-30, 2011 GSSF heads to Charleston for a GLOCK Challenge I hosted by the Palmetto Gun Club.   Again, you can pre-register and avoid the walk up lines by using the registration form found at www.gssfonline.com and emailing or faxing it to 770-437-4719 by Noon EDT on Wednesday, October 26th.   Maps to the ranges can be found atwww.gssfonline.com under the Match Schedule section.  Just click on the match link for the map!

Here’s our CURRENT schedule for both matches.  Get there early and don’t be late.

Saturday, – 9:00 am – Registration opens, Shooting begins at 9:00am, Registration closes at 3:00pm

Sunday, – 9:00 am – Registration opens, Shooting begins at 9:00am, Registration closes at 2:00pm

Did you miss this IMPORTANT update for 2011 and the GSSF match rules?   GSSF announces a change to the divisions for 2011!  Major Sub is now Heavy Metal.  You can shoot any 10mm or .45 caliber GLOCK in the division.  All other rules still apply:  You can only load 7 rounds per string.  Bring out your G20s, G21s, G37s, and G38s to compete in this division along with the G29s, G30s, G36s, and G39s!
